Why Video Matters
Driving Engagement and Connection.
Video holds unique power in driving engagement and connection, much like photography illuminates meaning through light and colour to open minds and express passion.
By blending immersive visuals and sound, video captures attention and resonates deeply. Drawing inspiration from the authenticity of documenting reality and the artistry of creative composition and lighting, video builds profound connections. It allows us to capture personalities and evoke genuine emotion, cutting through digital clutter to leave a lasting, meaningful impression that truly connects with viewers.

Paul McKenzie
Senior Videographer/ Editor
For over 30 years, Paul McKenzie has poured his heart into photography and film. What began as pure passion blossomed into a journey connecting lives – his and countless others. With Very Soapbox, Paul uses film’s power to bring people together, sharing genuine stories that spark vital conversations. His work is a heartfelt testament: sharing our views builds understanding, deep connection, and lasting human impact.
HIS APPROACH
Over the years, Paul McKenzie has come to realise that some of the most powerful stories are the ones people don’t even know they carry. He understands we all have experiences, moments of struggle, triumph, doubt, and hope, that can resonate far beyond our lives. What drives him is uncovering those stories and sharing them in a way that connects us. He believes one person’s truth, honestly told, can shift perspectives, start conversations, and even change lives. Through film and storytelling, he has seen how powerful it can be when someone finds their voice—and how that voice can echo in ways they never imagined.
My Experience
Over the years, my experience has allowed me to work with hundreds of individuals and clients, many from the corporate world bringing events to life and capturing both personal and professional stories that matter. I’ve had the privilege of working with respected organisations like the London Stock Exchange, Lloyd’s of London, and the House of Lords, helping to document moments that are both meaningful and memorable.
Short films and awards
We have won a number of awards for various projects, including an award from The London International Festival. We have also won a number of local awards. We are most proud of our film called ‘SICK’ which was screened at the National Gallery.
Using film to connect
We use the medium of film to engage with people and organisations. Over the years, we have built strong relationships with some of the country’s known brands. Including HSBC, Savoy, Houses of Parliament plus many more.
Public speaking skills through film
As part of our voluntary work, we spend a lot of time promoting public speaking and speaking to camera etc. This work takes us into schools and colleges to work with young people.
Rapport is key!
We honestly believe that rapport is the key to engagement. A lot of dedication and time is spent well before recording to establish a good working rapport. This leads to a much better experience for both the client and the videographer.
